The live-action adaptation of CITY HUNTER produced by Netflix. It's the adaptation of the popular manga by Hojo Tsukasa, which needs no introduction. While the story revolves around the first volume of the manga and the fifth episode of the TV anime, titled "Goodbye Makimura: Tears in the Night on a Birthday," the screenplay has been adjusted to fit modern society.
Protagonist Saeba Ryo, played by Suzuki Ryohei, portrays a cooler version compared to the original manga/TV anime, but his charisma is still outstanding. The casting of Makimura Hideyuki(played by Ando Masanobu), Makimura Kaori(played by Morita Misato), Nogami Saeko(played by Kimura Fumino) is also excellent.
The OP song "Get Wild" from the TV anime has been remade specifically for this adaptation and is nicely used as the ending theme.
Characters like Umibozu (Falcon) and Miki, who appear in the manga, do not make an appearance this time.
Strongly request for a sequel to see them on screen as well.
