The anime was broadcast in two parts, in March and November 2023.
It is an anime adaptation of a well-known popular manga, and was aired twice as the "final season" following the 1st season (Apr-Sep/2013, 25 episodes), 2nd season (Apr-Jun/2017, 12 episodes), 3rd season (Jul-Oct/2018, Apr-Jul/2019, 22 episodes), 4th season Part 1 (Dec/2020-Mar/2021, 16 episodes), and 4th season Part 2 (Jan-Apr/2022, 12 episodes), both part 3and 4, each as long as three to four length of 30-minute anime.
The manga has already been completed in May 2021 with a total of 34 volumes, and the anime has now reached its conclusion.
Dystopian SEKAIKAN(worldview). Man-eating giants suddenly appear before humanity. As the story progresses, it becomes clear that these giants are not so much enemies of humankind as the product of human conflict, and the struggles between races and religion that lays behind seem to be a powerful thesis against this current world situation.
With the cooperation and supervision of the original manga illusrater and publisher, anime specially depicts some scene that did not appear in the manga, which was making it a super fit to conclude this great story.
