New anime started from Jul/2023.
This is the 2nd season of the anime adaptation of novel, following the 1st season (Jan-Mar, Oct-Dec/2021, 23 episodes).
The story is a typicial ISEKAI RENSEI (reincarnated into another world) , but the protagonist's unusual sexual preferences were described in places which was unique and the story progressed with a light touch in the beginning of the 1st season. But as the story goes, especially after the entire world surrounding the protagonist is sent to the Demon Continent, the tone quickly changes to a bold adventure story. In the last episode of the 1st season, the beloved partner left the party, and the story ended with the protagonist in despair.
In this 2nd season, the story begins with the heartbroken protagonist gaining a new adventuring parties. In addition to the depiction of new bonds, we will also pay attention to how he reconnects with his old friends who have been separated from him.
As in the previous season, the facial expressions of the characters in this season's episode are very carefully portrayed, as is often the case in the previous season. The action scenes are also nice.
Production StudioBind Co., Ltd.("Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister!") was not changed, the director was changed from Okamoto Manabu to Hirano Hiroki(Screenplay of previous season), the composition was changed to Ono Toshiya("The Promised Neverland":Composition), and the character design was changed from Takahashi Mizuki to ("Children of the Sea": Executive animation director assistant). However, I did not feel any particular discomfort.
As for the voice casts, the protagonist Uchiyama Yumi("Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World":Puck) / Sugita Tomokazu("Gintama ":Sakata Gintoki) remain the same, but many new characters from this season have appeared, including Shiraishi Haruka("Golden Kamuy":Asirpa), Kobayashi Yu("Attack on Titan":Sasha Braus), Hatano Wataru("Kuroko no Basket":Mibuchi Reo), Sawashiro Chiharu("TSUKIPRO THE ANIMATION": Nanase Nozomu), Yamamoto Itaru("That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime": Velyard), Toriumi Kosuke("Mobile Suit Gundam: IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS"Naze Turbine), Ueda Reina("Fruits Basket ":Soma Kisa), Okitsu Kazuyuki("Fire Force":Karim Flam), Kayano Ai("Demon Slayer":Kocho Kanae) and others.
