New anime started from Apr/2022.
An anime adaptation based on a light novel.
This is the 2nd season following the 1st (Jan-Jun/2019, 25 episodes), which was originally scheduled to air from Oct/2021, but was postponed by 6 months.
In the 1st season, the characters are summoned from the present day to a different world (ISEKAI) as the brave of "sword," "bow," "spear," and "shield", and protagonist suffers being the brave of "shiled" which seemed to be the most useless. The 2nd season, however, depicts the bond between the protagonist and his fellow travelers that was finally formed in the latter half of the 1st season, as well as the rebirth of the protagonist's own heart. The first few episodes can be enjoyed as a normal adventure story, but it will be interesting to see if there will be a stir in the second half.
The production company and director have changed from former season, from Kinema Citrus (Made in Abyss) to DR MOVIE (Maple Story series) and from Abo Takao("22/7":Director) to Jimbo Masato("Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya":Director & Composition), respectively. Composition Koyanagi Keigo("Made in Abyss":Screenplay) remains unchanged. The voice casts are Ishikawa Kaito("Haikyū!!":Kageyama Tobio), Seto Asami("Jujutsu Kaisen":Kugisaki Nobara), Hidaka Rina("That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime":Milim), Uchida Maaya("The Promised Neverland":Norman), Matsuoka Yoshitsugu("Sword Art Online":Kirito), Takahashi Makoto("Magimoji Rurumo":Shibaki Kota), Yamaya Yoshitaka("Assassination Classroom":Sugino Tomohito), Inoue Kikuko("Ranma 1/2":Tendo Kasumi), and Hara Natsuko("Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It":Kanade Kotonoha) and others from the previous season, along with Hanazawa Kana("Bakemonogatari":Sengoku Nadeko).
