It is an anime adaptation of a manga, with the 1st TV series (Jan-Mar/2019, 12 episodes), the 1st movie (Sep/2019), the 2nd TV series (Apr-Jun/2020, 12 episodes), the 2nd movie (Aug/2021), and the 3rd TV series (Apr-Jun/2022, 13 episodes) having already been completed. And this time, on the occasion of the announcement of the new series, a special theatrical release was made. It is thought to be a prelude to the next series.
The original manga ended in Nov/2022 (28 volumes, 271 episodes), and this film is a visualization of the the original manga Vol.15.
This romantic comedy depicts the romantic tactics of Shinomiya Kaguya, the vice-president of the student council, who is a talented young lady of a gentle birth, and Shirogane Miyuki, the student council president, who has become the top student through extraordinary efforts though poor.
This time, the story depicts the high-tempo conversation between Kaguya who has mentally regressed due to stress overload after their first kiss, and Miyuki who is perplexed by his regression. The atmosphere, which is like 1980-1990 TV dramas, is also very enjoyable.
