This anime adaptation of manga follows the 1st (Jan-Mar 2018, 12 episodes), 2nd (Jul-Sep 2019, 12 episodes), and 3rd (Jan-Mar 2022, 12 episodes) seasons of the TV series.
It is a love story of junior high school students in a provincial town (the model is said to be Shodoshima island), and throughout the entire work, the story is basically based on daily life and light-touch gags, but the emotions of Ms. Takagi, a junior high school girl who will mentally become an adult a little earlier than a boy, and in this movie, the psychological distance between the two over one summer is depicted in detail.
In the spinoff manga shows the time after the two become husband and wife, and hense this movie also shows in the last few minutes in a heartwarming way.
