The title "Pride of Orange" seems to come from the team colors of the Nikko City and Nikko's ice hockey team "H.C. Tochigi Nikko Ice Bucks", who are fully supporting the project.
Personally, I used to watch a lot of ice hockey in the U.S., the home of the sport, and to be honest, I wasn't sure about the match between such a direct contact sport and a female character with an anime touch, but after watching the first 2 episodes (especially the beginning of the first episode), I was betrayed in a good way.
There was a lot of effort put into the description of the game scenes, and it was definitely different from the baseball and soccer games that I was used to watching.
In addition to that, the rules and daily practices are also explained in detail, so you won't be left behind.
For the performances during and after the matches, there are no separate performers, but the main characters sing and dance like idols.
