It wordly means "conducting rod" and "music work number", and its SEKAIKAN is deeply related to classical music.
The story is about a "musicato", a female personification of a musical score, and a male "conductor" who conducts the musicato to fight against a demon that threatens humanity. The musicats are named after famous classical pieces such as "Fate" and "Carmen".
Surprised to see that even classical music scores are being personified.
Just watched the first episode, I was overwhelmed by the SEKAIKAN, character designs, and the effect of the battle scenes.
I thought it was definitely worth watching.
The world view was created by Hiroi Oji ("Sakura Taisen"), the character designs were done by famous illustrator LAM (VR game "Tokyo Chronos"), and the production was a collaboration between MAPPA ("JJK") and MADHOUSE("Overlord"). The voice casts are also splendid: Uchiyama Koki("Jujutsu Kaisen":Inumaki Toge), Wakayama Shion("SSSS.DYNAZENON":Minami Yume), Hondo Kaede("Zombieland Saga":Minamoto Sakura), Itou Miku("The Quintessential Quintuplets":Nakano Miku), Hino Satoshi("Demon Slayer":Rengoku Kyoujuro), Minase Inori("Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-" : Rem), Ueda Reina("Fruits Basket ":Soma Kisa), Daisuke Namikawa("Haikyu!!":Oikawa Toru), etc.
