New anime to start in Oct/2021.
Anime originated from light novel.
A fictional story that combines elements of vampires with the moon and Laika, a space dog that orbited the earth in 1957 instead of humans aiming for the moon.
The story is based on the space race between two nations (in fact that was the U.S. and the Soviet Union from 1957 to 1975), and the final experiment to send humans to the moon is conducted by vampires (Nosferatu), who are hated by humans.
In history, the Soviet Union did not put vampires on spaceships, of course, and after Laika the dog (who burned to death soon after reaching orbit) on Sputnik 2 launched by the Soviet Union in 1957, two dogs and several rats were put into orbit around the earth on Sputnik 5 in 1960, and all of them returned safely to the earth, followed by Gagarin's "The Earth Was Blue" on Vostok 1 in 1961.
The story is supposed to carefully portray the interaction and bond between the vampire girl, who looks more like human, and a young man, who wants the project to be carried out successfully.
I watched episode 1, and I was impressed by many elaborate camera angles of scenes, and the beautiful red eyes of the vampire girl.
