2.43" refers to the net height of 2.43m in the "Haruko"(All Japan Volleyball High School Championship), and is supposed to indicate the small but significant difference from the 2.40m height of other high school volleyball tournaments.
The film carefully depicts the local volleyball club being rebuilt by a childhood friend who has returned to Fukui pref. from Tokyo, and the emotional growth of the main character, an attacker.
