Animated from a manga, "Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M" (Kodansha/Monthly Shonen Magazine, serialized from 2020, 8 volumes), which was originally serialized in Shogakukan/Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1995 to 1999 (total 20 volumes).
In essence, the anime adaptation is based on the sequel, but it is structured in such a way that one can fully understand its contents without reading the previous original manga.
As can be inferred from the title, the story is about the struggles of firefighters (special rescue team members). The main character and his friends are all young, and the story is drawn with a passionate touch like a youthful ensemble drama.
Since the theme of the series is disaster response and lifesaving, each episode features a moving rescue drama that is well worth watching.
