New anime started from Jan/2023.
Based on a manga serialized from 1995 to 2007 (Trigun: 1995-1997, 3 volumes ; Trigun Maximum: 1997-2007, 14 volumes), the content has been substantially restructured and adapted into an anime.
The basis of the story remains the same as the original manga. The SEKAIKAN(worldview) is similar to that of the movie "Mad Max," but it sets not on Earth, but on an extraterrestrial planet. The story depicts the activities of the main character "Vash the Stampede", who is offered a high bounty in a human society living in a harsh environment.
All the characters have been completely redesigned, and the occupations and pasts of the surrounding characters have been changed to reflect current trends.
In addition, the graphics have a 3D touch, so you can enjoy this latest sci-fi gun-action movie without feeling that it is based on a manga from about 20 years ago.
The original manga was popular in the U.S. and Europe because of its American taste. The new anime is also expected to be widely accepted in the same region.
