A new anime started from Jul/2023 (end of June, to be exact).
It is the latest of "BanG Dream!"("high school girls" x "music band") anime series.
As for the main series, stories of a four-piece girls band "Poppin'Party" developed from the 1st season (Jan-Apr/2017, 13 episodes), 2nd season (Jan-Mar/2019, 13 episodes), and 3rd season (Jan-Apr/2020, 13 episodes). Also, "BanG Dream! Morfonication" (featuring the band "Morfonica") ran with 2 episodes (Jul/2022). But this "BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!" appears that this will be a new spin-off as a separate TV anime series.
Watched 1st episode which was strictly speaking consisting of 3 episodes in a row.
The main band is MyGO!!!!!, and the main character is a guitarist in the band, and the story begins with each band members are not getting togther yet and all the members, including the vocalist, have bitter experiences in the past.
While paying attention to the future of the band members, I will also want to pay attention to the songs in the anime, which is one of the best parts of this anime.
The production team is SANZIGEN(Shin Sakura Taisen the Animation), director Kakimoto Kodai(Toji-no-Miko: director), and composition/screenplay Ayana Yunico(Kiniro Mosaic: composition/Screenplay). The voice casts includes Yomiya Hina("SELECTION PROJECT":Yagi Nodoka) as the MyGO!!!!! vocalist and Hayashi Koko (Wake Up, Girls! New Chapter: Hayashi Ayumi) as the MyGO!!!!! drummer, while Tateishi Rin, Aoki Hina, and Kohinata Mika make their voice acting debuts with this production. Other voice casts include Takao Kanon("Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater ":Tsurugi Hina), Watase Yuzuki(D4DJ：Takeshita Miiko), Sasaki Riko("Kageki Shojo!!": Yamada Ayako), Tanda Hazuki(D4DJ：Sakurada Miyu) and others.
