Although it bears the name "Edo", it is not samurai story and is a daily life drama. The story is set in an unusual setting: a elf who is extremely shy and a stay-at-home and has lived for several hundred years is enshrined as a god at a Tokyo shrine.
While the story depicts a relaxed daily life centered on the interaction with a young priestess, the viewer is kept entertained by trivia about Shinto rituals.
Also, it is unique that sponsors like Red Bull(energy drink) and Hourai (pork bun chain in Osaka) appear with real names.
