Animated film to be released in Mar/2022.
An anime adaptation of the hit novel written in the 1980s, which was animated once from 1988 to 2000, followed by a new anime version of "New Edition (Die Neue These)" in 2018 (the 1st season "Kaiko", TV series of 12 episodes) and in 2019 (the 2nd season, "Seiran," 12 episodes in total divided into 3 parts and released in theaters). This time, too, it will be a theatrical release of 12 episodes in 3 installments, this time numbered consecutively as episodes 25-28, the 1st part of 3 parts.
It is a Sci-Fi epic drama set in the galaxy, mainly depicting the struggle between the top Imperial leader, Reinhardt, and the top leader of the Free Planet Alliance, Jan, in a vast SEKAIKAN (worldview).
Chronologically, a major civil strife broke out in both countries before this part (depicted in previous 2nd season), and the resurrection from the major scars is carefully depicted, and episode 28 ends with a sense of foreboding for the subtitled "Gekitotsu", Clash in Japanese.
The relationship between nations and people, the good and bad of imperialism with leadership and democracy without leadership, and the merits and demerits of hierarchy-based society are all beautifully depicted with superb artwork, voice acting and narration, and, like the original novel, the content is extremely thought-provoking.
