Story Overview
The main storyline of the BanG Dream! franchise has primarily focused on Poppin'Party, a four-piece girls' band. This core series has already aired three seasons: Season 1 (January–April 2017, 13 episodes), Season 2 (January–March 2019, 13 episodes), Season 3 (January–April 2020, 13 episodes). A spin-off titled BanG Dream! Morfonication, centering around the band Morfonica, aired as a two-episode special in July 2022.
This new series follows Ave Mujica, a rival band introduced in BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! (June–September 2023, 13 episodes), which depicted the formation and struggles.
During the 2023 anime, the hardships and emotional turmoil that MyGO!!!!! members faced were briefly explored, hinting at the impact of Ave Mujica. This new anime delves into the rise of Ave Mujica and the challenges they encounter.
The early-to-mid sections of the series poignantly portray the breakdown of the group's dynamics, making for an emotionally gripping watch. As the story progresses toward its climax, it will be interesting to see how the band members' fates unfold.
