An anime adaptation of a South Korean web novel.
In South Korea, the story was initially published as a novel (from December 2015 to April 2016, totaling 4 volumes) and later adapted into a webcomic starting in 2017. In Japan, it has been novelized by KADOKAWA and adapted into a webcomic on Pikkoma.
It falls into the genre of ISEKAI TENSEI(reincarnation to another world), but with a unique twist of transitioning between different worlds: from another world to the present world, and then back to another world again. The narrative follows a young empress who, after committing misdeeds and being executed in the first otherworld, reincarnates into the present world as a skilled surgeon saving numerous lives. She eventually returns to another world again, having reformed and applying her surgical expertise.
I've watched few episodes and the story unfolds at a slow pace. It remains unclear how the protagonist will navigate both her royal duties and the path of a surgeon. While the developments are not yet apparent, looking forward to seeing how far the story progresses within this single cour.
