A long-awaited anime of a popular manga.
Perhaps due to its high reputation, the 1st episode was a two-hour special and was broadcast in the movie slot of Japanese TV channel.
The content of the 1st episode (120 minutes) was as good as the special treatment.
The story is about a wizard elf with the longest life expectancy of all the members of a heroic party who defeated the Demon King after 10 years of adventures in a fantasy world and disbanded.
The film is emotionally richly depicted by Madhouse ("BLACK LAGOON"), director Saito Keiichiro(Bocchi the Rock: Director) and composition Suzuki Tomohiro(ONE PUCH MAN: Composition/Screenplay), with music by Evan Call("The 13 Lords of the Shogun", "Violet Evergarden") and a profound sense of taste.
