New anime starting in Dec/2021.
Instead of the usual Oct-Dec period this anime starts from 5/Dec/2021. Rather, the 1st season of the TV series "Rishi hen" was broadcasted in Apr-Sep/2019 (26 episodes in total), and then "Mugen Ressha hen" was released in Oct/2020 as a theatrical version, but due to its popularity, a TV re-edited version was released from Oct/2021 and the new version "Yukaku hen" started right after it.
It is a sequel to the well-known popular work and depicts the fierce battle between humans and demons in Taisho era Japan.
The original manga has already been completed (23 volumes in total), with "Risshi hen" corresponding to volumes 1-7, "Mugen Ressha hen" to volumes 7-8, and this "Yukaku hen" to volumes 8-11.
The story is literally set in the Yoshiwara red light district, and I am very curious to see how much of the "glamour" and "gore" will be depicted in the anime.
I have watched the 1st episode and found that most of the time was spent recovering from the "Mugen Ressha hen", and the "Yukaku hen" was just a glimpse, so I am looking forward to the 2nd episode and beyond.
The power of the art and the music in the main story has been further enhanced, especially the deformed characters which makes the gradual and rapid depiction of the characters stand out, and the unnecessary lines in the batle scenes have been further eliminated, making the art even less tedious.
The production by ufotable, the director Sotozaki Haruo, and the music by Kajiura Yuki and Shiina Go are unchanged from the previous season, and the splendid voice cast is also unchanged.
The theme song was changed from LiSA to Aimer.
