The anime adapted from the original manga that is serialized since 1997.
It depicts the life of a fist fighter in the ancient Roman era. The manga has been widely distributed in Japan and some other countries such as Italy where it is set.
The fighting slaves in the era when iron weapons were not widely distributed before the appearance of "gladiators" that we learn through history are called "Kentoshi" and " Kendo" in this anime. The story is set when the tyrant Nero was still a boy.
Along with the fictional characters, real-life characters such as Nero and his future wife, the beautiful Sabina, also appear in the story, giving us a sense of excitement similar to that of "Kingdom" which also blends fiction and historical facts.
The visuals by BANDAI NAMCO Pictures ("Gintama", “Aikatsu!”) are quite 3D touch, which may be liked or disliked by some. The general director and composition is Toshifumi Kawase ("Wasimo", " Reideen: The Superior"), and the voice actors are
