This work, starting in April 2020, is an anime adaptation based on a manga. It was also made into a live-action film.
The anime adaptation will run from January to March 2019, and this will be the 2nd season.
Set in a prestigious high school for young ladies, the story is a romantic comedy about the protagonist, the student president who is a commoner but has excellent academic ability through hard work, and the heroine, the vice president who is blessed with family status, good looks, and academic ability.
Like previous season, sekaikan(worldview) of the series, which resembles the trendy dramas of the 80s, is still alive and well, and is a joy to watch.
In this 2nd season, the protagonist and heroine have already begun to realize their mutual fondness for each other, but their inability to honestly express it further accelerates the sense of flabbergasting. Furthermore, the story becomes even more interesting as the past of the surrounding characters is unraveled, adding depth to the human drama between the two and their surroundings.
The production, director, composition, and voice actors remain unchanged from the 1st season, and the theme song is again sung by Suzuki Masayuki, the "oldest new ani-song singer" who was much talked about in the 1st season, creating a very trendy atmosphere.
Voice: Koga Aoi ("Kaguya-sama: Love is War":Shinomiya Kaguya), Furukawa Makoto("One Punch-Man":Saitama), Kohara Konomi("Eiga Daisuki Pompo-san":Joelle Davidovich Pomponette), Suzuki Ryota("Sabikui Bisco":Akaboshi Bisco), Tomita Miyu("Made in Abyss":Riko), Hanamori Yumiri("Laid-Back Camp":Kagamihara Nadeshiko), Asakura Momo("Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story":Tamaki Iroha), Hidaka Rina("That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime":Milim), Yashiro Taku ("KING OF PRISM -Shiny Seven Stars-" : Juouin Kakeru), Aoyama Yutaka("Kabukicho Sherlock":Michelle Vermont) and others.
