It is an extension of "Initial D," a car racing story based in Japan in the near future when fuel engines are regulated.
The core of the story centers on a Toyota 86 taking on powerful European sports cars like Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.
In Season 2, intense racing scenes unfold from the very beginning, with numerous depictions of the protagonist’s Toyota 86 overtaking higher-ranked rivals by cleverly taking advantage of adverse weather conditions.
