A new anime starting in October 2024, based on a popular manga from Weekly Shonen Jump.
It's a love story between a first-year high school boy in the badminton club and a second-year girl in the basketball club who end up living together.
Although it follows a traditional path, it's intriguing that the protagonist, heroine, and protagonist's childhood friend's sports are badminton, basketball, and rhythmic gymnastics, respectively.
The production has had a considerable preparation period, featuring a luxurious production team, filming cooperation, and music offerings. Produced by Telecom Animation Film, the anime includes contributions such as color design by Konno Narumi from WIT STUDIO, art direction by Fujii Mitsuo from CoMix Wave Films, photography direction by Kawashita Hiroki from MADBOX, special character effects by Mita Ryoko from WIT STUDIO, and creative advisor Natsume Shingo from Tatsunoko Production. It offers meticulous depictions from daily life scenes to sports competitions. Partnerships with Asics, Adidas, Descente, Mizuno, Yonex, and Otsuka Pharmaceutical provide realistic depictions of sports scene.
The opening song is by Official Hige Dandism, and the ending song is by Eve, both centered around the theme "Blue."
The anime is produced by Telecom Animation Film ("Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro"), directed by Yano Yuichiro(Lupin III PART4-5 : Director), with series composition/screenplay by Kakihara Yuko (Cells at Work! : composition).
The voice cast includes Chiba Shoya (86: Eighty-Six: Shinei Nouzen), Ueda Reina (My Happy Marriage : Saimori Miyo), Kito Akari (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba : Kamado Nezuko), Kobayashi Chiaki (GREAT PRETENDER : Edamura Makoto), Uchida Yuma (Jujutsu Kaisen : Fushiguro Megumi), Sakata Shogo (Chainsaw Man : Hayakawa Aki), Nagase Anna (Summer Time Rendering : Kofune Ushio), Yuikawa Asaki (The Elusive Samurai : Hojo Tokiyuki ) and others.
