A new anime starting in October 2024.
It's a well-known and popular light novel adaptation, marking the third season following the first season (April to September 2016, 25 episodes) and the second season (July to September 2020/January to March 2021, 25 episodes).
The series is a dark fantasy where the protagonist, reincarnated in another world, repeatedly dies and revives to prevent unhappy endings for the ones he cares about. Although the art style is soft, the death scenes are depicted with realistic and grotesque detail.
The TV series returns after three and a half years, beginning in a setting reminiscent of the water city, Venice. The first episode is a 90-minute special that starts with a calm narrative but takes a shocking turn into terror in its final minutes. Eager to see how the protagonist resolves everything through his repeated revivals.
Produced by WHITE FOX ("Jormungand") and with composition by Yokotani Masahiro (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai: composition) remaining the same, but the director for this season has changed to Shinohara Masahiro (Trapezium : director).
The voice cast remains unchanged, featuring Kobayashi Yusuke (The Heroic Legend of Arslan : Arslan), Takahashi Rie (KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! : Megumin), Murakawa Rie(Non Non Biyori: Ichijo Hotaru), Arai Satomi (A Certain Scientific Railgun : Shirai Kuroko), Koyasu Takehito (Gintama: Takasugi Shinsuke), Akasaki Chinatsu (High Score Girl: Ono Akira), Nakamura Yuichi (The Irregular at Magic High School : Shiba Tatsuya), Iguchi Yuka (A Certain Magical Index : Index), Horie Yui (Monogatari series : Hanekawa Tsubasa), Ueda Kana (Fate/Zero : Tosaka Rin), Noto Mamiko (Inuyasha : Rin), Tamura Yukari (NARUTO : Tenten) and others.
