This is the 2nd season of the anime adaptation of a novel, following the 1st season (Oct-Dec/2018, 12 episodes).
Based on western fantasy-like SEKAIKAN (worldview), the anime is characterized by its unique setting and its severe depiction of battles.
Goblins are disregarded by adventurers as the weakest monsters, but due to their sly nature adventurers are often brutally killed.
The film presents a realistic depiction of the adventuring hero, who is a man of less words who shows an unusual obsession with killing goblins, and the adventuring friends who adore him.
The 2nd season begins with a somewhat gradual development in which the protagonist and his adventuring party mentor junior adventurers. Look forward to future episodes.
Production was changed from WHITE FOX to LIDENFILMS("Tokyo Revengers"), the director of the 1st season, Ozaki Takaharu became the executive director, and Takada Misato("Saiyuki Reload -ZEROIN-":Director) became the director, and composition Kurata Hideyuki("Made in Abyss": composition and screenplay) remains unchanged. The voice casts remain unchanged: Umehara Yuichiro("Legend of the Galactic Heroes-Die Neue These":Siegfried Kircheis), Ogura Yui(Encouragement of Climb: Kokona), Toyama Nao("My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU":Yuigahama Yui), Nakamura Yuichi("The Irregular at Magic High School":Shiba Tatsuya), Sugita Tomokazu("Gintama ":Sakata Gintoki), Iguchi Yuka("A Certain Magical Index":Index), Hikasa Yoko("K-ON!":Akiyama Mio) and others.
