This is the 3rd live-action film based on a popular manga.
Although the story of the original manga and anime series has moved on, this 3rd live-action film depicts the hero Li Xin (Yamazaki Kentro)'s firest battle of the Hundred Generals during the Battle of Mayang (Qin-Zhao battle) in volumes 11-16 of the original manga, while also depicting the fierce upbringing of the future First Emperor Ying Zheng(Yoshizawa Ryo) (volume 8 of the original manga).
The powerful battle scenes that were featured in the 2nd film are still present in this film as well, with scenes of surprise attacks and melee battles that turn an overwhelming numerical disadvantage into a powerful battle scene. In addition, actress Anne gives an enthusiastic performance as Zixia, who helped Ying Zheng escape from Zhao, which had a great impact on him, and adds depth to the film.
