Animated from a novel.
A live-action movie version was recently released and has become a hot topic.
The story depicts the awkward married life of a woman who hasn't inheritted unique ability to exterminate demons in her family, and has lost the will to live because her father and stepmother mistreat her, and the leader who exterminates demons and have poor communication skills.
The setting is reminiscent of Japan's Taisho and early Showa periods, and the scenery and period are carefully depicted, as are the characters.
The gradual closeness between the main character and the man is a fascinating story to watch.
