It is a Sci-Fi that depicts both the human race living in fear of a maneater monster in Japan 15 years after the catastrophe of 2024, and a heaven that is said to exist somewhere in this world.
The anime alternates between depictions of the protagonists surviving in a devastated world and children living in a beautiful and futuristic facility without any inconvenience, and it is fascinating to see where the two will intersect in the future.
