This is the 6th season of the popular series.
Legendary voice actor Kobayashi Kiyoshi(who played Jigen Daisuke) retired in episode 0, and was replaced by Otsuka Akio("GHOST IN THE SHELL":Batô).
The highlight of this 6th season is that the main storyline is based on the battle against the famous detective Sherlock Holmes, and the omnibus format includes famous writers in the script. For the latter, Mamoru Oshii and Kanae Minato have been announced to be involved.
If I may make a tactless comment, Lupin III is a modern drama, while Sherlock's active period is from 1887 to 1927.
I watched the first two episodes, and it was described as if Lupin shot Sherlock's partner Watson, and then Watson's daughter appeared in the main story.
And as usual, there is a hidden treasure that the grand thief is after.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the story goes hereafter.
